Using this website

This website has no accounts, registration forms, analytics, advertising pixels or payment systems. Photos and fonts are served with the pages. The Check rates and availability button opens the external Vikey website in a new tab. Dates and guests are selected on Vikey; this website does not collect them. We do not load Vikey widgets, scripts or iframes. Booking, terms and payments are handled on its website, where the relevant privacy notices are available.

Delivering and protecting the pages may involve the hosting service processing IP addresses, request dates and times, requested URLs and browser information. The purpose is to make the website available and prevent abuse, based on the legitimate interest in security and operation of the service (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Pre-launch draft: the hosting provider, log retention periods and any safeguards for transfers outside the EEA must be confirmed before publication.

Getting in touch

If you contact us by WhatsApp or email, we process your contact details and message to answer your questions and arrange a possible stay. The legal basis is taking pre-contractual steps at your request (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). Providing this information is optional, but a contact address is needed for us to reply.

Enquiries are kept for as long as necessary to handle the conversation and follow-up. Any retention obligations relating to a stay or dispute are assessed separately. We do not use messages to subscribe you automatically to newsletters or advertising campaigns.

The WhatsApp link opens the external service with an editable message; sending it requires your action in the app. Email also uses your own mail application. The providers process data under their own terms and may also operate outside the European Economic Area. Please read the information from WhatsApp and Google, the email service provider.

Links to Vikey, Airbnb, Google Maps and tourism websites lead to external services. Their privacy notices apply when you visit them.

Map, cookies and local storage

The embedded Google map stays blocked until you choose Allow map. Enabling it authorises a connection to Google, which receives data such as your IP address and device information and may use cookies or other identifiers. The legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can use the rest of this website and the directions links without enabling it.

Your preference is stored only in this browser under the key casa-al-vicolo:map:v1, in localStorage, for 180 days. It contains your choice, the version and the expiry date. It is not an advertising identifier and is not sent to our server. If local storage is unavailable, the choice applies only to the open page.

To withdraw consent, open Map preferences in the homepage footer and choose Disable map. Withdrawal prevents further map loading on this website without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing. To remove data already stored by Google, use your browser and Google account settings.

For recipients, retention and any international transfers relating to Google Maps, see theGoogle privacy policy. This website adds no other optional tracking tools.

Your rights

You may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction and, where applicable, portability and objection. You can withdraw map consent at any time. We do not profile visitors or make automated decisions about them.
